Red Light

Blessing at a stoplight

In my rushed, hurried days
Red lights are intolerable

But lately
I welcome these Red spheres
More than their green counterparts

I can let my senses take in
The light blue hues of the sky
The beauty in clouds
That come in so many different shapes and textures
Sometimes Fluffy, light
Other times streaky lines
Or Big thick waves of Grandeur

I can't breathe

Sometimes the transition from day to night
Brings silver, gray skies
Slippery and shiny

All encompassingly vibrant

I can't breathe
In delight

I feel alive
Blissfully so
I feel connected to the Almighty

I suspect he is the greatest artist of all

Unwelcomed intensity

how could inflections of emotions
Fluctuate so intensely in one night?
Trying to control it is futile
But habit is stronger than logic

Moving along the calm waves
Only to be hit so unexpectedly with a ravaging, crushing one
Blindsided me with unrelenting fear.
Reliving flashing moments of helplessness, of boundaries crossed
Just from one shout
